Property Amenities

This multi-building hotel is one of five sister properties where guests may access restaurants, business centers, and other facilities. Complimentary shuttle service is provided between the resorts and to the Royal Yacht Club Marina, which is across from this hotel. Onsite is a sports center with complimentary bicycles, snorkeling gear, tennis rackets, and golf clubs. Complimentary sailing and swimming lessons are available, as are scuba-diving demonstrations on most days. Handicrafts and children’s activities are another offering (children must be supervised by parents). A large outdoor pool features a swimup bar, and an open-air restaurant that serves all meals is adjacent. In addition, International cuisine is available in a fine dining room. A tour desk can arrange a variety of excursions, and a doctor is on call at all hours.

Rooms

This hotel offers 200 villas in multiple buildings. Air-conditioned villas and suites--with hand-carved mahogany doors and wall panels--feature private bedrooms, separate living rooms with sofas and Murphy beds, and kitchens with refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and stoves. All accommodations provide private, furnished balconies that have views of the resort, pool, lagoon, or Caribbean Sea. Televisions, telephones, and in-room safes are supplied. Housekeeping is available every day, except Sundays and legal Mexican holidays.

This oceanfront hotel provides numerous activities and water sports. Complimentary sailing lessons and use of sailboats (one hour per day, per villa) are offered at the Royal Yacht Club Marina, across from the hotel. Onsite is a sports center with complimentary bicycles, snorkeling gear, tennis rackets, and golf clubs. Volleyballs, footballs, beach towels, and board games are also available. This hotel features a large outdoor pool with a children’s pool, and scuba-diving demonstrations are provided at the pool, Sundays–Thursdays. Tennis clinics and golf tournaments are also offered. Children’s programs include handicrafts and other activities (children must be supervised by parents). An onsite tour desk can arrange various excursions.

Hotel guests are welcome to use the facilities of the other sister properties, and complimentary shuttle service is provided. The Royal Sands Hotel houses a spa with a wide variety of body and skin treatments, a sauna, and fitness and aerobics rooms (surcharge for all).
